PPP/Modem problems - (was:Linux 2.2.15pre4)

Rui,

About 10 GPB plus 1 GBP postage got me a new pre-flashed chip in the post a
couple of days later :-)

I TOTALLY screwed the chip - The PC refused to even POST with the modem
installed!
