isdn connection no longer transmits packets

Hi,

this is a bug report concerning isdn and/or general networking.

During an established isdn connection to my isp the connection stops
transmitting but stays up. It seems to happen randomly.
I have no other network devices.

This happens on the kernels 2.3.37, 2.3.39 and 2.3.40-pre6 (2.3.38 didn't
compile).

There were no packets transmitted during the breakdown (tcpdump showing nothing,
flat line on the isdn monitoring programm) ifconfig was odd, it showed both
ippp0 and ippp1. ippp1 was active, but the netmask was wrong.

This happened with a Fritz!PCI isdn-card on euro-isdn. All drivers were
compiled into the kernel. No modules were used.
