[Ayuda] INstalacion de MySQL en RedHat 9

Hola amigos, una vez superado el asunto del rpm
sospechoso :s. 
Conclusion:
No se si fue el RPM o coincidio un ataque en ese
momento.
El hecho es que un proceso se pirateo el nombre de
mysql y aparecia corriendo y no era el server mysql :S
este proceso montaba un servidor sshd alterno al
usual, y establecia una conexion a un servidor remoto,
razon por la cual el router que tiene cerrados los
puertos de entrada al server no bloqueo la
comunicacion.
En fin, ya pude "limpiar" el server de este script y
sus añadidos.
YA volvi a descargar la instalacion de mysql de
mysql.org
ya revise MD5 y paso bien, antes de instalar incluso
generee un reporte del contenido del rpm.

Como pueden ver, no aparece por ningun lado mysqladmin
:s
ahora si estoy perdido, pues hay varios programas como
mysqlshow y otros mas que no aparecen, y por lo tanto
no puedo seguir las instrucciones para continuar con
su configuracion, es mas, nisiquiera puedo intentar
una conexion local con el server :S
en fin..
alguna sugerencia? o alguna idea de que esta pasando?

O de plano ya mejor bajo el rpm y me reviento la
compilada desde fuentes?
