ha!!.. bueno.. tu problema es k estas intentando
acceder a la base de datos sin antes hechar a andar el
servicio..

primero.. tienes que hacer un...

#mysqld_safe

despues ya accedes a lo k kieras...

[root en bamboo mysql]# mysql
