problema con postgres

[OCR]

Despues de compilar e instalar el postgres me manda el siguiente error :

pg_encoding: error in loading shared libraries: pg_encoding: undefined symbol: pg_char_to_encoding

We are initializing the database system with username postgres (uid=26).
This user will own all the files and must also own the server process.

Adding template1 database to pg_database...

        syntax error 1 : parse errorinitdb: could not log template database
initdb: cleaning up.
[postgres en lagente postgres]$

No entiendo a que se deba ya que es la tercera vez que lo hago y en las dos anteriores maquinas no tuve ningun problema

RedHat 6.2
postgresql-6.5.2
Compaq Proliant ML-370
