I'm looking for a possibility to use under LINUX Redhat 6.1 the
usual technique of explicit (or runtime) linking. Under HP-UX,
for instance, two main system (or library) calls are available,

shl_load, which loads a shared library into the main memory and

shl_findsym, which binds the calling program to a reference within
the shared library, denoted by a string.

Up to now I didn't succeed in finding something similar under LINUX.
There semms to be only the loading call (uselib), but not the binding one.

The analog under WINDOWS are the direct linked libraries (DLLs) which
allow for the Plugin-technique.
